Gluten-Free Pie Crust



  1. Grease a 9 or 10 inch pie plate.
  2. Combine Gluten-Free Flour Mix and salt.
  3. Stir in oil, then stir in milk. The dough will start out thin, but will thicken up and become crumbly as it is mixed.
  4. Press half of the mixture in the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate.
  5. Follow instructions for your pie.
  6. For the top crust, break the dough up into even crumbs and sprinkle over the pie filling.
  7. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  8. Bake according to your pie recipe.

    I have been cooking with gluten free flour mixes and they are not all the same. Can you tell me which mix you like the best in terms of grains. Sometimes I make up my own especially with the Christmas cookies. I have noticed that certain kinds of cookies require a different blend of flours.
